    Position of the down tube

    The most aerodynamically optimized position of the down tube would be directly behind the front tire. However, even the slightest movement of the front wheel would create strong turbulence and significantly increase air resistance. Extensive testing has shown that the second fastest position is a wide distance between the front tire and the down tube, making this the fastest option in real-world conditions.

    Rear wheel adjustability

    The same goes for the rear wheel. The closer the tire is to the seat tube, the more aerodynamic it is. Unlike the front wheel, the rear wheel is always aligned with the seat tube. To give every rider the chance to ride in the most aerodynamic position, regardless of the choice of wheel or tire, there are 6 different wheel mounting positions available.

    The Scott Plasma is equipped with ample storage space for drinks, energy bars and gels. This way you never have to run out and you can always continue to perform, even during your longest bike rides.

    Advanced Aerodynamics

    With the Plasma RC Ultimate, SCOTT has really shown its “Aero Muscles”. The frame, made from HMX carbon, has been specifically designed with aerodynamics in mind. Every detail has been fine-tuned, from the integrated cables to the optimized down tube design. The bike offers six different wheel positions in the rear to maximize aerodynamic performance, no matter which tire size you choose.

    SRAM RED eTap AXS

    The bike is equipped with the latest SRAM RED eTap AXS electronic shifting groupset, which ensures smooth and precise shifting. With 24 gears, including a 50/37T crankset and a 10-28 cassette, you can tackle any climb or descent with ease. The system is completely wireless, which not only reduces weight but also improves the aerodynamics of the bike.

    In addition, the bike is equipped with a built-in SRAM RED AXS power meter, for extremely precise data.

    The SCOTT Plasma RC Ultimate is equipped with the Zipp 858 NSW Carbon Tubeless Disc-brake wheelset, Zipp's ultimate aero weapon. This wheelset combines unparalleled aerodynamics with a reduced weight thanks to Total System Efficiency (TSE) technology. The 82mm-85mm deep rims, with the patented Sawtooth profile, offer the best in aero efficiency and crosswind stability. Furthermore, the 23mm internal width allows for the use of wider tires with lower pressures, resulting in less rolling resistance and increased comfort, especially during long triathlons.
