    Position of the down tube

    The most aerodynamically optimized position of the down tube would be directly behind the front tire. However, even the slightest movement of the front wheel would create strong turbulence and significantly increase air resistance. Extensive testing has shown that the second fastest position is a wide distance between the front tire and the down tube, making this the fastest option in real-world conditions.

    Rear wheel adjustability

    The same goes for the rear wheel. The closer the tire is to the seat tube, the more aerodynamic it is. Unlike the front wheel, the rear wheel is always aligned with the seat tube. To give every rider the chance to ride in the most aerodynamic position, regardless of the choice of wheel or tire, there are 6 different wheel mounting positions available.

    The Scott Plasma is equipped with ample storage space for drinks, energy bars and gels. This way you never have to run out and you can always continue to perform, even during your longest bike rides.

    Advanced Aerodynamics

    With the Plasma RC Pro, SCOTT has really shown its “Aero Muscles”. The frame, made from HMX carbon, is specifically designed with aerodynamics in mind. Every detail has been fine-tuned, from the integrated cables to the optimized down tube design. The bike offers six different wheel positions in the rear to maximize aerodynamic performance, no matter which tire size you choose.
