If you've been a Garmin fan for a while, this may be somewhat surprising. After all, the Garmin Forerunner 955 only launched on June 1, 2022, making it only eight months old at the time of writing. Garmin usually leaves at least two years between Forerunner launches, so this is a real break from tradition.
